A simple eye infection before a holiday led to a course of antibiotics. A very stressful journey home from holiday. I then found I had picked up a tummy bug that resulted in yet another round of antibiotics.

Hospital Time

I spent two weeks in hospital while doctors worked to stabilise my symptoms. Eventually, a biologic infusion made a huge difference, and I now self‑inject every two weeks to stay in remission. I seemed to have developed an autoimmune condition called Ulcerative Colitis.

Back Home

When I came home from hospital, I used my usual shower gel — something I’d used for years without a second thought. My skin instantly turned bright red. It didn’t burn or itch, but it reacted. That moment changed everything. I wanted something gentler. Something I could trust. Something I knew every ingredient inside.

So I began making my own cold‑process soap

Cold‑process soap is naturally creamy, nourishing, and kind to sensitive skin. I test every single bar I make — every recipe, every essential oil blend, every ingredient combination. If my skin goes red, that bar never enters my range.
